Notes - NACIUK, John July 27, 1926... I, JOHN NACIUK, came into the world in a rush! I was the second born after my sister Mary (predeceased by her husband John Szwajkowski) BUT, the first son! After me came my brother Mike (Shirley) and then my kid brother Nick (Marg). With parents Michael and Magdalena originating in the Ukraine, we were bi-lingual - Ukrainian and English. The family business was Dominion Bakery. As a teenager, I met the love of my life, Pauline - we were married August, 1946. In 1972, we decided to sell the business and I went to work in the Traffic Department of the City of Kitchener through to my retirement - 25 years ago. I've had a wonderful life, full of good friends and some interesting adventures and I was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Since July 2015, I experienced health issues that created a whole new world for me. Caregivers at the hospitals and Lanark LTCC took good care of me. I was fortunate to have my wife Pauline, daughter Brenda and her husband Peter by my side during my final hours... take my love with you.... I am now at peace and with my Lord. My family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. with parish prayers being recited at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 9:20 a.m. followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church (29 Midland Dr. Kitchener) for the Celebration of Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. with Fr. Allen Varlaki officiating. Interment to be at Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Anthony Daniel Parish Life Centre.
