      The death of James Edward Trachsell occurred at his home in Galt on Sunday at the age of 56 years, following an illness of six weeks, due to a heart condition.

      The deceased was born at Shakespeare a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Trachsell and he spent his boyhood days in that village. About ten years ago he resided in New Hamburg for a period of two years, also living at Wellesley and Hickson, before moving to Galt. After leaving Shakespeare he resided for a time in Michigan.

      He was married to Rose Flach, who survives him besides a son, Burnell, at home, and two daughters, Mrs. D. Miller, Galt and Merlyn, at home, his step-mother, Mrs. Sarah Trachsell, St. Marys, and a sister, Mrs. John Stadelman of Shakespeare.

      The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from Gray's Funeral Home in Galt to the Shakespeare cemetery. Rev. J. H. Moore, pastor of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church was in charge of the service.
