    • GARIBALDI, Magdalen Antoinette Fischer Mom died peacefully in her sleep at The Hanning House, surrounded by loving care, on May 1, 2010. Born in Preston on June 7, 1914 she attended Notre Dame Academy in Waterdown and the Business School in Hamilton. She retired from Walker Exhaust in 1977. Magdalen married David Patrick Garibaldi in 1941 and he predeceased her in 1998. Mom is survived by her two daughters, Anne Marie Smith (Ted) and Angela Benedetti (Bob); her grandchildren, David Senek, Krista Denstedt and their spouses Debbie and Kevin; Paul Benedetti, Monique Benedetti, Anne Benedetti, and their spouses Lisa, Greg and Alison. Also survived by her two brothers, Rev. Leonard Fischer S.J. and Rev. Clair Fischer S.J., and her sister-in-law, Inez Garibaldi (Francis). Magdalen was predeceased by her parents, George Fischer and Magdalen Dietrich; three brothers, Rev. Jerome Fischer C.R., Boniface Fischer (Edna), and Lawrence Fischer (Kathleen), and one sister, Marie (Reg), sisters-in-law Gabrielle Sparrow, Lil Garibaldi (Don), Kathleen Fischer (Lawrence), Edna Fischer (Boniface), and brothers-in-law Francis Garibaldi (Inez), Don Garibaldi (Lil), and Reg Hickey (Marie). She is also survived by great-grandchildren Brooke, Kayley, Julia, Lauren, Kathryn, Matthew, William, Madeline, Joel, and Alison. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church (745 Duke Street, Cambridge) on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hanning House or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Clement's Parish would be appreciated by the family.
