    • Mr. John Hopf died very suddenly from a heart attack at the home of his son, William, jn Hamilton on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 56 years. He was a son of the late Joseph Hopf and Margaret Pauli and was born in New Hamburg. He learned the tool and die making trade at the local Stamping Works and later worked in Woodstock, Brantford and Hamilton. Mr. Hopf was a skilled mechanic and latterly was employed with a watch and jewelry manufacturing concern in Hamilton. He was twice married. His first wife, Margaret Keeler, whom he married in 1917, died in October, 1940. In 1942 he married Veronica Bradt, who predeceased him: in September, last year. Deceased was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the last member of a family of thirteen. Surviving are two sons, Raymond and William, and a daughter, Mrs. Russel (Agnes) Mitchell, all of Hamilton, besides 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday morning with a short service at the home of his son, William, in Hamilton, followed by requiem mass in Holy Family Church, New Hamburg. Interment will be in the kocal R. C. Cemetery.
