- Bauman. --- Adah, daughter of the late John M. and Catherine (Horst) Martin, was born June 28, 1891, near Brownstown, Lancaster Co., Pa.; died Dec. 3, 1949, near Hawksville, Ont.; aged 58 y. 5 m. 5 d. She was united in marriage to Titus Bauman, who survives. Also surviving are 5 sons and 6 daughters. (John M. Bauman, Salina-Mrs. Isaac Horst, Lydia-Mrs. Joseph Martin, Adah-Mrs. Elam Burkhart, Kate M., Moses M., Hettie M., Titus, M., Lizzie M., Henry M., and Emmanuel M., all of Ontario), 2 stepsons (Josiah and Edwin Bauman, also of Ontario), one brother (Emanuel H. Martin, of Lebanon Co., Pa.), and 2 sisters (Mary-Mrs. Graybill Zimmerman and Leah H. Martin, of Lancaster Co., Pa.). She was preceded in death by infant twins, her parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. In her young years she united with the Groffdale Mennonite Church, Bareville, Pa., transferring her membership to the Mennonite Church in Ontario when she went there to live. She was a faithful member until death, and was concerned that her family live Christian lives. Death result from eryisipelas. Funeral services were held by Abram Bearinger and Addison Gingrich at the Peel Mennonite Church in Ontario, where burial was also made.
