  STENDEL, Frieda (Mrs. Gustav) - Peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira. Frieda (Fischer) Stendel, in her 93rd year, formerly of St. Jacobs. Beloved wife of the late Gustav Stendel (1967). Dear mother of Martha Michenfelder of St. Jacobs. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Bryan and Teresa of St. Jacobs, Susan and Steve of Waterloo and by her great-grandsons William and Aidan. Sister of Irene Umlandt of Kitchener, Ella Grote of Germany and Ernst Fischer of Germany. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her son-in-law Wolfgang Michenfelder. At Frieda's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial visitation for family and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, September 25 from 1 p. m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2 p. m. with Rev. Harold Brill officiating, followed by interment of cremated remains in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs.
