  SNYDER, Norma (nee Schweitzer) Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the age of 94 years. Norma, of Elmira, formerly of RR 2, Elmira, was the dear wife of the late, Wesley Snyder (1980). Beloved mother of David and his wife Jane, and Paul and his wife Linda. Loving grandmother of Nathan (Tanya), Andrea (Brian Bauman), Michelle, and Christine (Jeremy McCullough). Sweet great-grandmother (Grandma Cookies) of Ava and Beckett Wadel, Kaden Snyder, and Jordan Mahoney. Lovingly remembered by her sister, Mildred Heller and brother-in-law, George Ritter. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as her good friends. Predeceased by her daughter, Janie (1994), sisters, Vera and Ruth, several sisters and brothers-in-law, and many friends, including her former roommate, Mary Brown. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family interment will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 10 a.m., in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Norma's life and faith, will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 11 a.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
