    • Died On Monday, April 21st, 1930 Andreas Rahn In his 73rd year. The Funeral Will take place on Thursday, April 24th, from his late residence, Brown Street. Services will be held at the house at 2.30 p.m. Interment in Preston Cemetery.

      ANDREAS RAHN DIES, 73RD YEAR

      HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF PRESTON OVER 50 YEARS

      Andreas Rahn, a pioneer of Preston who came to this country from Germany over 50 years ago, passed away at 8 o'clock this morning after several days of serious illness. The deceased, who has been a resident of Preston for over 50 years, was a well-known figure in Preston life and the word of his passing this morning will come as a distinct surprise to his many friends locally and in the surrounding district.

      The deceased, who was in his 73rd year, was at one time employed at the Bernhardt brewery and in later years was an employee of Clare Bros. While not taking an active. part in the municipal life of Preston, the deceased was always interested in any movement beneficial to the town and many changes have been wrought since he first moved here..

      He is survived by his wife. one son, Andrew. of Detroit; and one daughter, Mrs. Harry Blouse. of Preston. The funeral will be held at 2.30 Thursday, April 24, with services at the residence, Brown street, then to the Preston cemetery for interment.

      Andrew Rahn Sr.

      Citizens of Preston were shocked to hear of the death this morning of Andrew Rahn, 73, at his home on Brown street. Death came very unexpectedly, as the deceased had been ill for only a few days. Pneumonia was the cause of death. Mr. Rahn was born in Germany, and has lived in town for many years, being a faithful employee of Clare Brothers. In religion, deceased was a devout member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. Besides his widow, the former Miss Otilla Gimbel, there survive one daughter, Mrs. Harry Blouse of Preston and one son Andrew of Detroit. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Thursday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. Rev. W. H. Knauff will officiate at the service. Interment will follow later in Preston Cemetery.
