- Mrs. Louis Gies
Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Louis Gies, R.R. 3, Waterloo, died at the K-W Hospital yesterday. The former Catherine Erb she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Erb and was born in Blake, Ont., Aug, 1, 1875. Her marriage to Louis Gies who survives took place in Baden Oct. 3, 1897. She was a member of the St. Agatha Lutheran, Church. Surviving are three sons, Herbert, Dundas; Gordon at home and Kenneth, Kitchener; and two daughters, Mrs. Ezra (Madeline) Brown, Waterloo and Mrs. Howard (Clara) Huehn, St. Catharines and seven grandchildren. One brother, Iasiah Erb, of Kitchener and one sister, Mrs. Madeline Erb, Waterloo also survive. The remains are resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Borne where a private funeral service will be held at two o'clock Friday followed by a public service at the St. Agatha Lutheran Church at three o'clock. Interment will be made in the St. Agatha Lutheran Cemetery. Rev: S. F. M. Freidricksen will officiate.
