- Leonard Massel
PRESTON - A Preston native, Leonard Massel, 67, of Petersburg died Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a short illness. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Massel, he moved to Petersburg about six years ago. He was formerly employed as a machinist by Preston Wood-working Machinery Company, Ltd. He was a veteran of the First World War and a member of St. Clement's RC Church. A bachelor, Mr. Massel is survived by one brother, Lorne of Preston, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Cress of Kitchener. The body is at the Maurice O'Brien Funeral Home, Preston, where the rosary will be recited Friday by members of the Catholic Women's League at 3 p.m. and by the Holy Name Society at 8 p.m. Requiem high mass will be conducted in St. Clement's Church at 8.30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in St. Clement's Cemetery.
