      PRESTON, Feb. 18 - Joseph Hauser, lifelong resident of Preston, died at the home of his son, Gustav, with whom he has been residing for the past 15 years, at an early hour today. In his 77th year, the late Mr. Hauser was born in Preston, living here all his life. He had been in ailing health for the past several years. Deceased was one of the oldest employees of the Pattinson Woollen Mill, having been employed with that concern in the capacity of a woollen carder for over 52 years. He retired over six years ago. Fond of gardening, the late Mr. Hauser was also an enthusiastic sports follower. His first wife predeceasd him 24 years ago and his second wife predeceased him 15 years ago. The deceased was a lifelong member of St. Clment’s R.C. church. Surviving are three sons, William and Gustave of Preston and John, of Toronto; one brother, John, of Buffalo; a sister, Lena, of Buffalo, and six grandchildren. The late Mr. Hauser, will rest at the residence, 446 Laurel Street, after Sunday at 11.30 a.m, The funeral will be held from the residence, with mass at St. Clement's church on Tuesday, at 9a.m. Interment will be in the R.C. Cemetery.
