  Mrs. Harold Dechert PRESTON, Mrs. Harold Dechert, 566 Guelph St. N., died Thursday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. She was 70. Born in Nipissing County near Parry Sound, she came to this area more than 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She and her husband operated a variety store, in Preston for a number of years, until she retired from the business in 1969. The former Ethel Barney. she was predeceased by her husband in 1965. She also was predeceased by one son. She is survived by one sister. Mrs. Sydney (Lucy) Aldred of Kirkland, Lake. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where the funeral and committal services will be conducted Saturday, at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Preston cemetery.
