Death removed an old and highly respected citizen when Robert I.ambert Scott passed away at his resideuce on Dover street at nine o'clock on Tuesday night following a stroke, the culmination of a lengthy illness. The deceased who was in his 74th year was born In Galt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scott who came to Canada from Yair, Scotland. In 1879 he married Miss Mary McInnes of Canbrook, Ont. and for the last thirty three years he was engaged as a pattern maker to Clare Bros. Foundry. A man of good habits and kindly disposition his death is felt a keen loss by the immediate members of his family and the many who knew him. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian church. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. William A. Kirkpatrick of Terrace, B.C. and three sons, James of Tappen B.C., Oliver of Seattle, Wash. and Russel, of Moulton, Maine; also one sister Mrs. William Ames, of Calgary and two brothers, John and James of Woodstock. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 2: 30 o'clock from his late residence to Preston Cemetery. In the absence of a regular pastor at Knox Presbyterian church, Rev. James MacLuckie of the local Baptist church will conduct the services.
