      OBITUARY

Henry Begerow was born at Bruel, Germany, Dec, 16, 1841. At the age of eleven years he with his parents, came to America and settled near Hespler, Ontario. After remaining there for several years he secured a farm near Brantford. In the year 1865 he was united in marriage to Minnie A. Hohn, who was his companion and helpmeet in life until the year 1906, when she was called to leave her home on earth for one prepared for her by her Savior, whom she had fully trusted. In the year 1868 Mr. Begerow with his family moved from Ontario to Caledonia, Michigan, then to Lake Odessa, Michigan, where he resided for 30 years. In February, 1911, he disposed of his property in Michigan and, with his son, Henry F., came to Eugene, Oregon. He purchased a farm on Camp creek and also secured a home in Eugene, where he and his son have since resided.
During the past winter his health began to fail. It became necessary for him to receive special care and treatment, and was admitted to the Eugene hospital. After remaining there for several weeks he felt much better and returned to his home. But soon a relapse took place and he was
taken back to the hospital, but his physical forces had gone and he passed away on June 21st, 1912, aged 70 years, 6 months and 5 days. Before departing he gave express- ion of his faith that he was prepared to meet his God.

He had four sons and one daughter, all of whom reside in Michigan except Henry F. of Eugene and who returned to Michigan with the remains, leaving Eugene at 3 o'clock Monday morning.
