  Mrs. Mary Kanmacher PRESTON, Oct. 15\emdash Mrs. Mary Kanmacher, widow of George Kanmacher, well-known resident of Preston for many years, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Mogg, Grimsby, early today, at the age of 81. She had been ailing for several years. A native of Preston, she was the daughter of the late Dorothea and Henry Heise, pioneer residents of the community and during her many years of residence in the community she formed a large circle of friends. After 58 years of residence in Preston Mrs. Kanmacher moved to Grimsby in 1928 and resided there since that time. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Preston, she retained her membership here and was also a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. Her husband predeceased her at Grimsby in 1935. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ada) Thiel of Preston and Mrs. H. G. (Laura) Mogg of Grimsby; a son, George Kanmacher, Grimsby; six sisters, Miss Elizabeth Heise of Preston, Mrs. John Mumford of Freeport, Mrs. C. C. Hahn of Kitchener, Mrs. William Stohrer of Lansing, Mich., Miss Dorothea Heise of Toronto, Mrs. Russell Riley of Peterboro and a brother, Edward G. Heise of Preston. Two grandchildren also survive. The body will rest at the residence in Grimsby until Wednesday morning. The funeral will be held at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, Preston, at 3: 30 Wednesday.
