  Daniel Good, "son of Peter and Elizabeth (Schowalter) Good, was born near Muddy Creek, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, June 30 1798. He left Pennsylvania in 1826 and came to Canada, arriving in Waterloo in May of the same year. He was a cabinet maker by trade and must have been a number one mechanic as all his works are executed in the most skilful manner. At his arrival here he made his home with old John Lichty who then resided in Waterloo, later on he had his home with Jacob S. Shoemaker. On January 7th, 1829, he was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Peter and Anna (Zimmerman) Martin. She was born December 27th, 1808, and is still quite smart and healthy for a person of her age. She has her home with her daughter, Elizabeth. After their marriage they moved on their farm in Woolwich Township, near the Martin Mennonite Meeting House. The farm is now owned by Elias Martin. Here they resided until his death which took place May 24th, 1881. They had a family of sixteen children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
