- AMOS, NANCY ANN (Nee Robinson)
At the residence of her son, Edward A. of 369 Frederick St. in Kitchener, in her 85th year, on the evening of July 19th 1939. Predeceased five years ago by husband, William Amos. Funeral on Saturday at 1: 30, at the home of her son, with Rev. G. F. Barthel, pastor of Calvary Memorial Church officiating, to Crown Cemetery for service at 3. Mrs. Amos and her husband were both members of pioneer Puslinch Township families. Born on August 20th 1854 in Puslinch Township, she was the last surviving member of the Robinson family. They were married by Rev. Hogg of Guelph Presbyterian Church September 22, 1874. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Robinson, early settlers in Puslinch. Mr. Amos was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Amos, who came to the township a few years later than Robinsons. Mrs. Amos had been a resident of Kitchener for three years. Formerly, she lived in Guelph and was a member of Paisley Memorial United Church. Surviving are a son, Edward A. of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. S. F. Mathies and Mrs. Leonard Rupay of Guelph; sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
