      By Record Staff Writer

      PRESTON-Funeral for Robert Bieth, 70, a former Preston mayor, reeve and alderman, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Barthel - Stager Funeral Home.

      Burial will be in Preston cemetery with Rev. Arthur Waters of St. Paul's United Church officiating. The body is at the funeral home.

      Mr. Bieth was found dead Saturday at his home, RR 1, Preston.

      A Preston native, he was mayor from 1935-1939, reeve from 1931-1934 and alderman in 1930.

      He was an accountant with McCaulley, Robertson, Bissel and Holman of Kitchener for the past six years and formerly an accountant with Preston Woodworking and Machinery Company. Ltd

      He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lillian Hallman, this year and by his brother, Joseph, last year.

      Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Oberholtzer and Mrs. Jack (Ida) Calvert, both of Kitchener; two brothers, Charles of Kitchener and Harvey of Hamilton; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Eva) Dryden, Welland; Mrs. Albin (Laura) Haggstrom, Colo.; Mrs. Max (Ida) Volkert, Los Angeles; four grandchildren.
