- Anna Reist, "the ninth member of John and Susannah (Huber) Reist's family, was born April 24th, 1807. On September 14th, 1828, she was married to Jacob Witmer. They resided on a farm near Preston, Ontario, where she died March 4th, 1888."

WITMER. - On the 4th of March, in Waterloo Co., Ont., of infirmities of old age, Anna Reist, wife of Jacob Witmer, aged 80 years, 10 months and 9 days.
Funeral services by Jacob Woolner, at the house of mourning, in German, and Bishop Daniel Wismer at Wanner's meeting-house, in both languages from Isa. 38:1.
She was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., in 1807, and was married to Jacob Witmer in 1828, two years after coming to this country with her parents.
