  DEATH DUE TO DRINKING ALCOHOL The death took place on Wednesday afternoon of Herman Kreitzer, 52 Mill street as the result of excessive drinking of wood alcohol. During the last week the deceased had been gathering the liquid at various factories and deluding it with the result that he became seriously ill and succumbed about 2 o'clock last Wednesday. Dr H. G. Lackner was summoned but found that the man's system had been poisoned by the liquid. The deceased was in his 50th year and has recently been employed at the Berlin Table Co.'s factory. He is survived by his wife and several grown-up children, Dr. Lackner did not deem an inquest recessary. The Chronicle Telegraph 23 May 1918, p. 3
