St. Peter's Church, where, under the direction of Pastor Wurster, the funeral service took place, as not albe to contain all the mourners who arrived, to express their sympathies to the sorely-tried family.

20 Oct 1881 Philip Schwenn died in Berlin at age of 23 years, 3 months and 2 days. The funeral procession on Sunday was one of the largest ever to take place here. The roomy St. Peter's Church, where, under the direction of Pastor Wurster, the funeral service took place, was not able to contain all the mourners who arrived, to express their sympathies to the sorely-tried family.
