  BLACK, WILLIAM JOSEPH At his residence, Cooper St. in Hespeler, on Tuesday afternoon, August 3, 1926, after an illness extending over several months. He was born in Puslinch Township 54 years ago, the son of the late Robert Black. For many years, he was a thresher in this neighbourhood, going five or six years ago to the Parry Sound district, where he carried on a sawmill business at Deer Lake. He returned to Hespeler last fall, not in the best health, having suffered a paralytic stroke. Survived by his wife and six children: Florence (Mrs. W. Cosgrove) of Burlington; Gordon of Guelph; Ivy (Mrs. John Ruttan) of Parry Sound; Jean, Eileen, Verley and Calvin, at home; six grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. James Currie.
