    • Samuel Herbert Pryce well-known Blair resident since 1946. died at his home there at one o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. after a short illness. the deceased was in his 81st year. During eight years of residence in Blair he had formed a large circle of acquaintances.

      A native of Corwen, Northern Wales. where he was born November 7. 1873. the late Mr. Pryce came to Canada from England in 1903. He made his home at Toronto where he was employed by the Toronto Transportation Commission for some 50 years in the capacity as a machinist with the Hillcrest Division.


      Retiring in 1946 he made his home in Blair since that time. A member of Knox Presbyterian church the late Mr. Pryce was also a member of the Sons of England. Ulster Lodge A.F. and A.M., and Rani Garr Grotto, all of Toronto.

      Surviving are his wife, nee Nona Beck; a daughter, (Isabel) Mrs. N. C. Oakley. of Moncton, N.B.. two sisters, Misses Margaret and Katie Pryce, both in England, and two grandchildren.

      The late Mr. Pryce is at the Stager-Pass Limited Funeral Home from where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 o'clock. Rev. C. D. Farris of St. Andrew's Presbyterian church, Galt, will officiate. Interment will be in the Bair [sic] cemetery.
