  JACOB HERTEL PRESTON, July 28\emdash In poor health for sometime, Jacob Richard Hertel, 46, died today at his borne 234 Eagle street,for the past 15 years. Mr. Hertel was a tinsmith contractor in Preston. Prevously he worked for the Grand River Railway for five years, Clare Brothers and Eastern Steel Products Ltd. Born in Centreville, Mr. Hertel resided here for 27 years. He attended Pine Grove school at Limerick. As an ardent sportsman, he was instrumental in organizing the Preston Hunt Club. He attended Knox Presbyterian church and belonged to the Preston I.O.O.F. Surviving are his wife, formerly Mary Francis McKie, two sons, t.eonard and Alex of Preston, a daughter Florence of Preston and two grandchildren, John and Richard Hertel and two sisters, Mrs. A. Lewandousky and Mrs. Henry Dipple both of Kitchener. Funeral service will be held at his late residence on Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
