  ROES, Marie-Peacefully, on January 3, 1997, at her home, Marie Roes, of Fort St. John, B.C. Marie was born in Waterloo County 71 years ago. Marie, formerly of Donegal, Ontario, resided at Blueberry Farm. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Mary (Albrecht) Lichti. Beloved wife of Alvin Roes, whom she married March 20, 1946. Loving mother of Ellen and Brent Nelson of Courtice, Ont., Rae and Ruth Roes of Belleville, Ont., Del and Wanda Roes of Edmonton, Alta., Mary Ann and John Bourdeau of Conestogo, Ont., Shirley and Richard Annett of Fort St. John, B.C., Ruth and Andrew Knight of Merritt, B. C., Elizabeth and Don Kroeker of Merritt, B.C., and Rachel and Eric Hanna of Fort St. John, B.C. She was a grandmother to 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ever remembered by two sisters, Luella Wagler of Millbank, Ont. and Helen and her husband Ian Shantz of Millbank, Ont. and two brothers, Melvin Lichti of Wellesley, Ont. and Peter Lichti of Florida. She was predeceased by one brother, Albert Lichti. Friends and relatives attended a memorial service at the Church at Blueberry, Fort St. John, B.C. on January 7, 1997. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Fort St. John, B.C.
