Notes |
- John Charles died rather tragically of what was probably a brain hemorrhage at age 49. He was traveling back to Stratford from Arkansas where he had been visiting a brother in hope that a holiday in different air would be beneficial to his health. He took ill on the train near Sarnia and was tended by the conductor until they arrived at Stratford. He was taken home where he died within a few hours. That was in December 1896.
