    • Preston Woman Celebrates 84th Birthday

      PRESTON, Dee. 2-Mrs. A. Brethauer, who celebrated the 84th anniversary of her birthday yesterday the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Lintick, Hamilton Street, received from her friends and relatives, who offered their congratulations. Mr Brethauer, although in ill health, able to greet her visitors. Tea was served. Mrs. Lintick was assisted by Mrs. Harry Brethauer. Out-of town visitors were Mrs. John Grieve Mr. and Mrs. John Brethauer and family of Branchion.

      Mrs. Brethauer was born at Pinebush and lived there until 10 years ago when she came to Preston, having resided with her daughter, Mrs. Lintick, for the past 18 years. She was married in Hespeler over 60 years ago at the Lutheran Church. They had 13 children. Three girls and one boy have passed away and living are four daughters, Mrs. John Lintick, James Grobe, Mrs Fred Currie and Mrs. William Pelz. all of Preston, and five sons, John of Branchton. James of Toronto, Wilbert of Galt, and Charles and Harry of Preston. Her husband, Abraham Brethauer, passed away 1924. She has 32. grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
