- HERMAN, ROBERT
Aged 78 years, in ailing health for some time, on Monday night, January 1, 1945, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. He was born at Branchton and lived in Preston for the last ten years. A retired farmer, Mr. Herman farmed in Puslinch, about 1 ½ miles from Hespeler for a number of years. He was a member of the Oddfellows and a Lutheran by faith. Surviving are his wife, Wilhelmina Schultz of Preston; two daughters and two sons, Mrs. William Southcott of London; Mrs. Melvin Stuckhart of Kitchener; Roy and Harry Herman of Hespeler; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home in Preston. Rev. W. H. Knauff of St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiated. Interment was in Hespeler Cemetery. Pallbearers: Milne Jamieson, Fred Krueger, Albert Jones, all of Hespeler; Louis Krupp of Galt; Immanuel Speckeen and Anthony Munch of Preston.
