Notes |
- John Clemmer, "was the youngest child in his father's family and was born in Canada, near Preston, December 16th, 1822. On October 29th, 1844, he was married to Susannah, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Erb) Gingerich. She was born April 5th, 1825. After their marriage they moved to New Hamburg where he worked at his trade, waggon building. Here they resided about two years, then they moved to Chicopee where they resided about five years. Some time in May, 1856, they moved to their home, situated two miles north of the town of Waterloo, where they still reside. Their family consists of eight children"
Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
