    • Aaron Hipel

      Aaron Hipel of RR 2, Preston, died at his home Monday following a brief illness. He was 80.

      Mr. Hipel was born in Waterloo Township, Dec. 29, 1887, and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hipel. He farmed in Waterloo Township for many years and retired in 1954.

      He predeceased by his wife, the former Sarah Dedels, September, 1966.

      Surviving are three sons, Earl G. of Saginaw, Mich., Kenneth A. of Breslau, Roy W. of RR 2, Preston; three daughters, Mrs. Simon (Marguerite) Heer, Mrs. Elroy (Pearl) Schmitt and Stella Hipel, all of Kitchener; two brothers, Arthur of Preston and Lloyd of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Nettie) Marchand of Kitchener; 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Norman Hipel and Kenneth Schiedel.

      The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel funeral home where Rev. Harold Boadway, minister of Breslau United Missionary Church, will conduct a funeral service Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Cressman Mennonite cemetery, Breslau. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
