  • Notes
    • In the Township of Puslinch, Ludwig Burmeister (Bob's father) made boots and shoes for the neighborhood and Henry Sohrt conducted a shop at Kossuth for many years with sometimes six hands working. When I was a boy, Mr. Sohrt used to come to our house of a Saturday night, take the measure for a couple of pairs of shoes, bring them the week after and measure up two more of us. Both these men specialized in children's top boots with copper toes and red tops.
