Laudenbach: Margaret Angela
Peacefully at home surrounded by family, Margaret Angela Laudenbach (nee Bauer), passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the age of 89.
Born in Waterloo in 1932, Margaret was the youngest daughter of Edgar and Bertha Bauer. In 1958, she married the love of her life and best friend, the late Joseph Laudenbach. She is predeceased by her son, David Edgar, brothers Frank, Eugene, Jerome, Robert, Father David, Raymond, and sisters, Rita, Alice, Mary and Therese. Margaret is survived by her children, Andrew Laudenbach (Catherine) of Oakville, Ann Laudenbach (Jill) of Toronto, Sarah Gundy (Ben) of Toronto, and daughter-in-law Lori Laudenbach of London. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Adam (Alice), Teresa (Jerome), Madeline, Emily, Beatrice, Penelope, and great-grandchild, Jackson.
Marg spent all her summers since 1939 at the family cottage in Bayfield watching sunsets, sunbathing, and being active in the local community. It was here where she met Joe, and they had their first date on the beach. In 1999, they made Bayfield their permanent home. She always enjoyed a good party, and many enjoyed her spirited personality and delightful sense of humour. She was a kind and engaging person who loved and valued her family and all their dogs. Her spirit, laughter, and strength will stay in our hearts forever, and we will always see her smile in every Bayfield sunset.
A special thank you to Dr. Stan Spacek and PSW Briar Higgs for their outstanding care and compassion, and a very special thank you to her dear friend and neighbour, Pattie MacDonald.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Pioneer Park Association (info@pioneerpark.ca
P.O. Box 2115, Bayfield, ON). A celebration of life will be held at the family cottage at a later date.
