    • IN MEMORIAM

Scarcely had the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Pearson in San Jose, Costa Rica, been unveiled of its cloak of sadness on account of the passing of his beloved mother, the late Mrs. Fred Pearson, when it was again enshrouded in a like mantel of grief, caused by the self same messenger of death, when Mr. Gibson Pearson himself was suddenly stricken with heart trouble, while on the Golf Links, death being instantaneous.

Mr. Gibson was born in Kitchener some thirty-five years ago, where he had hosts of friends, who are extending their most profound sympathy to the sorrowing widow and wee daughter, Dorothy, so early bereft of a devoted husband and father. One sister, Mrs T. W. Seagram of Waterloo is also left to mourn the loss of her only brother.

Interment took place last Wednesday on arrival of the noon train, when with quiet simple dignity, the body of Mr. Gibson Pearson was borne to its last resting place in the family plot at Kitchener, beside his father and mother, the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pearson, after a short service conducted by the Rev. C. W. Foreman, rector of the church of the Holy Saviour, Waterloo, in the presence of the members of the immediate family circle, who had come to pay tribute to the memory of one who was dearly beloved by his many friends in the Twin City for his sterling character, all uniting in mourning the loss of a true friend and ready advocate of all that was good and noble.
