- Josephsburg has another school about three miles north of the church whose supporters are nearly all Catholics, but have a public school. Mr. Von Neubronn taught here for a number of years during the 60 's, then at Hamburg, and afterwards in Berlin.

Mr. Louis von Neubronn, who had been teaching in the public schools of Josephsburg and Hamburg for many years, later came to the Berlin Central School of Berlin to teach the German classes.

DEATH OF AN OLD TEACHER. - Mr. Louis Von Neubron died in Berlin on. Sunday May 5th,at the age of 60 years 1 month and 19 days, from the effect of a paralytic stroke that came upon him in the afternoon. Mr. Von Neubron suffered from a severe stroke in 1893, that confined him to the house for many months and entailed much suffering. He was well known throughout the county having taught school for 28 years, of which time he spent seven years in St. Agatha, eight years in New Hamburg and was German master in the Berlin Central School for thirteen years. For the past two years he has been engaged with his son in the cigar business. He had a family of thirteen children, of whom ten survive him, two sons and eight daughters all of whom reside in Berlin. The funeral was held Wednesday, May 8th, and the remains were laid in the R.C.cemetery.
