  KILLED BY FALLING TREE Reinhold Giese, who resides near Breslau, was almost instantly killed on Tuesday afternoon by being struck on the head by a falling tree. The deceased along with his son Bruno and S.G. Gole, were engaged in felling trees in John Gole's bush during the afternoon, and while cutting a large tree, the heavy wind blew it down unexpectedly in the opposite direction it was intended. Mr. Giese ran in the same direction as the tree fell and was struck on the head with great force rendering him unconscious . Dr. Honsberger of Berlin, was summoned but the injured man died a short time after his arrival and an hour and a half after the accident. There were no external injuries, death being due to concussion of the brain. The deceased had recently sold his farm near Breslau and intended moving to the Northwest.
