  Aaron Ziegler, "was born December 16th, 1829. On April 11th, 1854, he was married to Anna Rudy who was born October 14th, 1827, and died February 20th, 1862. After her decease he was again married to Esther Lichty who was born May 29th, 1839. They resided two miles south-west of Elmira where he died January 13th, 1885, leaving a family of twelve children:" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). The petition of Sarah Ziegler, Widow, of the late Jacob Ziegler of the Township of Waterloo, the County of Halton in the District of Gore, Yeoman, deceased. Humbly Swearth That you petitioner being now left a widow with an only child named Aaron Ziegler an infant under the age of four years and your petitioner for want of the English Language is not capable of managing her affairs and those of her said infant son. Your Petitioner therefore humbly request that your honour will be pleased to appoint George Clemens of Waterloo aforesaid, Gentleman, to be Guardian for my said infant son to manage his affairs and to do all other acts and things according to the statute in such case made and providing - and your petitioner as is duty bound will ever pray. February 12, 1833 her mark Sarah Ziegler witness: William Scollick Hamilton 15th February 1835 Take notice that I George Clemens of Waterloo in the district of Gore, Yeoman, have applied to the Judge of the Surrogate Court of Gore to be appointed Guardian to the person and estate of Aaron Ziegler of Waterloo aforesaid an infant of the age of three years. Signed George Clemens Know all men by these presence that we George Clemens of Waterloo in the district of Gore, yeoman and Henry M Clemmer of the same place yeoman are jointly and severally held and jointly bound to Aaron Ziegler of Waterloo aforesaid an infant in the final sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of Upper Canada for which payment to be well and faithfully made we bind ourselves and each of our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presence sealed with our seals dated on this fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.
