      Harvey E. Haack, 64, of 26 King St. South, Elmira, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, following an illness of five weeks. A former business man in Elmira, he spent his boyhood years in Conestogo, then moved to Drayton. He married Miss Mabel Hill of Creek Bank and they moved to Elmira and started a restaurant, confectionery and green- grocer business.

      In the meantime, Mr. Haack built up a business of catering at fairs and racing meets. After retiring from the store in 1938, he enlarged his staff, and became well known in Western Ontario operating a booth at all large entertainment events in Western Ontario operating a booth at all large entertainment events, including the international plowing matches.

      Born in Conestogo on August 20, 1883, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Haack.

      Surviving are his wife, three sons, James of Kitchener, Glenn of Prince George, B.C., Burton of Elmira; a daughter, Mrs. William (Alice) Newsom of Ottawa; a brother Clifford of Toronto and three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Spiesz of Hanover, Mrs. J. Harrison of Toronto and Mrs. F. Holtz of Detroit. Three grandchildren also survive.

      Remains rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, and funeral service were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial was made in Elmira Cemetery. Rev. W. M. B. Metcalfe was officiated.

      Out of town people who attended the funeral of the late Harvey Haack on Tuesday were from Ottawa, Toronto, Hanover, Guelph, Drayton, Milton, Campbellville, Galt, Weiland, Grand Rapids, Mich., Beamsville, New Hamburg, Kitchener, Listowel and Arthur.
