Notes - BECHTEL, Ella May - Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2009 at her home one month prior to her 84th birthday. Devoted mom of Donnie and his wife Anne of Okotoks, Alta., Dave of Cambridge and Dale and his wife Regula of Spiez, SUI. Cherished nanny of Kyle, Lara Small and her husband Matt, Bethana, Dylan and Zoe. Survived by her brother, Benjamin Powell of Charlottetown, Labrador; sister, Grace Pelley of Cornerbrook, Nfld. and sister-in-law, Isabel Powell of Bay Roberts, Nfld. Predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Bethana Powell; husband, John; brothers, Roland, Maxwell, Herbert and Don and sister, Mary. Ella's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 12 noon until the time of Ella's funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the K-W Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
