    • David Linton

DOON - David Linton of New Aberdeen, Ont., one of the few remaining pioneers of the Strasburg district, passed away, Saturday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs John Ogram, Huron Road. Mr. Linton, who was in his 80th year had been in poor health since last October.

It is interesting to note that the late Mr. Linton spent his entire life close to the place where his parents settled on coming from Scotland, over 80 years ago. The deceased was a lifelong member of the Doon Presbyterian Church, and an elder for 40 years.

The survivors are: one son, Gillies Linton, on the Galt-Hamilton highway: one daughter, Mrs. John Ogram and three grandchildren, Stanton, Stewart and Helen Linton. His wife, Margaret Barrie of the Barrie Farm, Galt, predeceased him n 1921.
