- Will of Peter Kuenemann
This is the last will and testament of one Peter Kuenemann of the Township of Carrick in the County of Bruce Parvince [Province] of Ontario [?] made the fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy five as follows. Being of sound mind and memory, I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate on what kind and nature soever which I shall be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease unto my beloved wife and children as follows. I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabetha born Kaiser all my household furniture the thirds (?) or one third share of all Crops and fruits that may be yielded and derived on and out of the land Known as Lot twenty one in the ninth Concession of the aforesaid Township of Carrick during each and every year of her natural life, the one half of the Garden, one half of the house, suitable place in the barn to house her [?] of [?] share thirds and (?) share of Crops, suitable place in the stable for one Cow and a horse and sufficient wood (?) grown on the aforesaid lands suitably made for her stove or stoves and delivered to the house on said lands during her natural life or widowhood. [?] [?] if my said wife Elizabeth should after my death Contract another matrimony, she immediately shall lose and be destituted of all her right and claims of and to the aforesaid land and property as well as real and moveable (?) and of all use and benefit of them and shall only belong and fall to mu beloved children being [?] or equal shares. I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Caroline all my aforesaid land and appurtenances thereto belonging to occupy cultivate and enjoy the same as she has hitherto during the life or widowhood of my said wife Elizabeth of the thirds or one third share of all products and fruits that may be yielded and derived of on and out of said lands in each and every year during the life or widowhood of my said wife also the parts of the Garden House barn and stabling (?) and wood a aforesaid and to be left given and delivered to her. My said wife in each and every year during her natural life or widowhood whether be fully demanded or not. I also will and [?] that my aid daughter Caroline may have all of my farm implements and life stock [livestock] for the sum of two hundred and thirty dollars safe (meaning exempt from) and Except the Cow horse cutter and house generally used by me and the same shall belong to my said wife or widowhood And I further give Devise and bequeath after the death of my said wife all my real and personal property and effects unto my loved children. Caroline, Joseph, Alexander, Gregory and Rosina. so that Gregory shall received one hundred and fifty dollars more for one years labor than any other one of my said children [for] the [?] execution, administration and assigns to and for them and their one absolute use and benefit according to the nature and quality thereof (?) subject only to the payment of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and the charges of opening and [?] this my will. My son Alexander has already received fifty dollars as a part of his inheritance. And I appoint Peter Schneider, Joseph Emil, and Peter Heubschwerlon [Huebswerlen] all of the Township of Carrick yeomen Executors of this my will and charity (?) make all these wills.
Signed sealed and published and [?] by the same Peter Kuenemann as for his last will and testament in presence of us who both [?] together at the same time in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have [?] subscribed our names as witnesses.

That I know the said Peter Kuenemann. that I am a [?] witness to the Last will and testament.
Signed before me at the Town of Walkerton | Charles Schurter in the County of Bruce the 2nd day of [signed] april AD 1875.
