    • John Marshall - The death occurred of heart trouble at Toronto on Thursday of John Marshall, in his 70th year. Deceased was born on the Marshall homestead near Doon, and lived in Ayr for many years, leaving for the Queen City about 15 years ago. He was well known among a wide circle of friends in this district, where he was highly respected. He is survived by two children, John Marshall and Mrs. Victor Pickard, both of Toronto; also by two brothers and one sister, Thomas Marshall, Roseville; Robert Marshall, Blair, and Mrs. Thomas Amos, Toronto. The funeral took place from J. B. Robinson's Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery. The service was conducted by Rev. J. W. Currie, pastor of Knox United Church, Ayr, and the pallbearers were: Rae Marshall, Roseville; Norman Marshall, Doon; Robert Amos, Ernest Amos, Norman Amos and Victor Pickard of Toronto.
