- JANTZI, Orland July 9, 1940 - August 30, 2012 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 72. Beloved husband and best friend of Eleanor of 49 years. Beloved father of Tom (Sherri) and Cynthia Clasper. Orland was a loving Grandpa and Papa to his three special grand-daughters, Candice, Jadyn and Chloe. Dear brother of Mel (Pat) Jantzi, Dorothy Roth, Esther (Mel) Harrison, Stan (Lisa) Jantzi. He is also survived by Eleanor's sisters and brothers Delphine (Mel) Zehr, Joy (Cornelius) Klassen, Kathy (Paul) Steckle, Chuck (Tanya) Erb, Marjorie Steckle, and Phil (Laurie) Erb. Predeceased by his parents Elias and Laura Jantzi, in-laws Mervin Roth, Gerald Steckle, Carol and Cyril Erb Gingerich, nephew Peter Hammer and niece Connie Steckle. Orland lived for his work as the owner and operator of Summer Breeze Heating and Air Conditioning. He enjoyed life and work to the fullest and never gave a thought to retirement. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, September 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 4, from 1-2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation to follow.
