- News from Gull Lake Sask, during the week was received by Mrs. W. H. Speckmann, of Dresden, in a telegram telling that her mother, Mrs. J. E. Gatschene was ill and not expected to live. Deceased is nearly eighty years old and with her late husband John Gaaschene numbered among the early pioneer residents of Mt. Carmel township.

News received during the week of the death and burial at Gull Lake, Sask., of the late Mrs. Gatschene brings feelings of regret to many families in this settlement. The Gatschene family numbering among the first of the early pioneers to locate here.
