Requiem high mass for Frank Jolkowski of RR 2, Petersburg, who died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness was celebrated Friday at St. Pius RC Church, Osceola. He was 78.
Burial was in St. Casimir RC cemetery, Round Lake.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jolkowski, he was born in Killaloe Station and farmed there until 35 years ago when he retired to Cobden because of ill health. He married the former Catherine Chapeski in Killaloe Station, Aug. 25, 1913. She predeceased him in June, 1969. He moved to Kitchener last year. He was a member of St. Pius RC Church Osceola.
He is survived by four sons, Thomas and Anthony, both of Cobden, Dominic of Killaloe Station and Paul of Cobalt, seven daughters, Mrs. David (Jean) McEwen, Mrs. Douglas (Agnes) Bartlett, Mrs. Walter (Rita) Gural, Mrs. Walter (Anne) Scott, Mrs. Keith (Evelyn) Vaughan, all of Kitchener, Mrs. Anthony (Tessie) Elmanski of Cobden and Mrs. Mario (Lucy) Monaco of Petersburg; one brother, Stanley of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Katie) Gutoski of Kitchener, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Skebo of Renfrew, Mrs. William (Laura) Laurie of Toronto and Mrs. Joseph Pasco of Ottawa; 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren He was predeceased by his wife, one daughter, Margaret, two brothers and one sister.
