- Abraham B. Cassel, "was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, April 12th, 1825. In 1848 he came to Canada with his brother, John. He was married to Catharine, daughter of Solomon and Catharine (Bechtel) Gehman. They resided in Lake View, Michigan, where she died October 10th, 1894. To them was born a family of six children".
