- Aaron B. Martin of 48 Church St., Elmira died last Thursday at K-W Hospital Kitchener after a lengthy illness. He was 70.
Born May 11, 1898 in Peel Township he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elias Martin and had lived in Elmira for 40[?] years. He operated a machine shop and was a member of Elmira Mennonite Church. Mr. Martin was also a Sunday school teacher and deacon of the church for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife the former Ada Martin, three son, Clayton, Henry and Paul, all of Elmira, four daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Erma) Snider of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Harvey (Alice) Martin of Floradale, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Denstadt of Elmira and Mrs. Clare[?] (Sharon) Wideman of RR 2, Drayton, three brothers, Nathan of Kitchener, Jesse of Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Israel of Cincinnati, Ohio, three sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Elizabeth) Martin of RR 2, Drayton, Matilda Martin of Hamilton and Mrs. Urias (Susanna) Martin of Atwood and 18 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor Elmira until removal was made on Saturday afternoon to Elmira Mennonite Church where Rev. Vernon Leis conducted the service. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
