    • Jacob Israel - The death occurred this morning at 10 o'clock of Jacob Israel at his home, 164 Benton Street, at the age of 78 years. Deceased has always lived in this vicinity, being born near Elmira, and for many years was a resident of Strassburg. About seventeen years ago, he moved to this city with his wife and family, where he has lived for the greater part, as a semi-retired farmer. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and six children, Freda, Herman and Mrs. Grupp at home, Emma of Guelph, and Robert and Alfred of this city. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

      The funeral announcements will be made later.
