CARLYLE LEIN DIES AT CHRISTIE STREET
Carlyle Lein, who served in the first world war with the Canadian Field Artillery, died Sunday in the Christie Street hosptal, in which he was admitted a week ago. Born in Elmira, Ont., in 1898, he enlisted in 1918, serving till the close of the war. His wife, Elsie Prentice Lein, Queensdale Ave., and one son survive. He was a member of the Canadian Legion and of Rogers Presbyterian church, Woodbine Ave. The funeral, which will be semi-military, will be held at 4 pm. today from the McDougal and Brown chapel, Danforth Ave., to St. John's (Norway) cemetery.
