- Bishop Joseph Kipfer By Record Correspondent
WELLESLEY, Jan. 12. - Bishop Joseph Kipfer died Sunday night at the 7th Line, Wellesley Township, following a two-day illness, He was born in Mornington Township in 1867, but lived for 33 years in Ellice Township before moving to the 7th Line 20 years ago. He belonged to the Amish Mennonite faith.
Bishop Kipfer is survived by his wife, the former Magdalena Kuepfer, and by nine grandchildren. He also leaves one daughter, Magdalene, Mrs. Eli Albrecht, 7th Line, Wellesley Township. One daughter and one son predeceased him. One sister, Mrs. James Lesperance, Detroit, also survives him,
The funeral will be held from his late residence Wednesday at one p.m. Rev. Amos Albrecht will con-duct the services. Interment will take place at the 7th Line A.M. Cemetery. The body is resting at the residence.
