  Wife Of Elmira's First Mayor Dies Mrs. P. F. Stumpf Dies On Wednesday; Husband Predeceased Her Last June Mrs. Peter F. Stumpf, wife of the late P. F. Stumpf Elmira's first mayor and a former Warden of Waterloo County, died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Wednesday morning. She had been ailing for some time but only a week ago did her illness become serious. She had been in the hospital only a few days before her death. Her husband predeceased her only on June 15 last. She was born in Elmira, a daughter of the late Mr. Jacob Yost Leaving to mourn her loss are four sons, Emerson B., of Fontana, Cal.; Leonard W., of Los Angeles, Cal.; Averdo L., of Kitchener and Walter W., of Saskatoon, Sask. A brother, Mr. Levi Yost, a Kitchener photographer, resides in Bridgeport. The late Mrs. Stumpf was born in Elmira and lived her practically all her life. She was 65 years of age. Funeral arrangements had not been made up to the time The Signet goes to press.
